Hi wonderful church family! Here are a few thoughts to share…

  • This coming Sunday (5th March) will be Jim & Jan Kreider’s last day with us as they are moving to Ohio. It’s a sad day, and no doubt there will be a few tears, but we want to send them out well! So, we’ll be having a breakfast at 9.30 before the service, and then praying and blessing them during the service. Please bring something to share for the breakfast.
  • It was really encouraging to see more people come up for prayer at the end of the service this week – over the last few weeks, a number of people have really been blessed, seen some breakthrough, experienced being filled with the Holy Spirit and met with the Lord during those times. I really encourage you to be bold in coming and receiving prayer, and also joining us at the front during worship times – as we press into God we will meet with Him.
  • I mentioned on Sunday that we hope to have a testimony day soon, sharing stories about what God has been doing in us, answered prayer, healing, breakthrough in struggles etc. If you would like to share, please drop me an email at nick@govineyard.org. If you would like to share, but find the idea a bit daunting, I would be very happy to video it with you before hand. Testimonies give glory to God for what He has done, but are also a GREAT encouragement to others so I want to encourage you to share.

Last week I shared a statement that helps tell something of our vision / mission & values, and I will bring printed copies for anyone who wants one this coming Sunday. I have put the text here:

…a group of people who are dedicated to Jesus & seeing His Kingdom come.

They devote their time, their energy and their lives to serving Him wholeheartedly.

They are rooted in Scripture, fervent in prayer and passionate in worship. They love Jesus, walking in the closeness of His Presence, listening for His strategy and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

They are surrendered to Him; laying everything down, willing to go wherever and do whatever He says, making every effort to live lives of holiness and obedience. They walk in faith, believing for the seemingly impossible.

They live their lives in deep love and relationship with each other, working together to see the Church on fire, the lost saved and the Kingdom come among the poor & broken. They have a deep love for the Church; actively pursuing and passionately interceding for it to be fully on fire, revived and alive.

They are moved with compassion for those who are lost, and are burdened to cry out for their salvation; going and making disciples of all nations.

They bring the Good News of the Kingdom of God to the spiritually and physically poor. They bind up the broken-hearted, set the oppressed free, seek justice and take up the cause of the orphans and help those in need.

Lots of love to you all!

Pastor Nick.
